ITINERARY

All activities will be supervised by a certified guide from the Galapagos National Park.

Day 1: El Chato Reserve and Lava Tunnels

Our staff will welcome you at Seymour Airport on Baltra Island and will transfer you to the first place you will visit: El Chato Reserve.

El Chato Reserve

In this reserve, you can see the Galapagos giant tortoises walking freely on the fields – some resting in the mud and others feeding.
You can take pictures with these amazing animals but remember to keep a minimum distance of 2 meters. You will also see many white-cheeked pintails.

Lava tunnels and lunch

By the end of the tour, the guide will lead you through the tunnels that were formed by lava. Lunch will be served at the restaurant, which has a beautiful view of the ranch.

Las Grietas.

Day 2: Bay Tour and Tortuga Bay Beach

- 8:00am: breakfast.
- 9:00am: in the morning, on a boat tour in the bay of Santa Cruz, you will visit La Lobería Islet, where you will have the opportunity to snorkel with turtles and sea lions and appreciate marine iguanas and red rock crabs. After that, you will visit a channel called Tintoreras, due to the presence of whitetip reef sharks, a beach called Los Perros and finally, the cracks between two large stone walls called Las Grietas. - 1:00pm: lunch.

- 2:00pm: in the afternoon, you will enjoy Tortuga Bay Beach.

Day 3: North Seymour Island and Las Bachas beach.

- 7:00am: breakfast.
- 8:00am: a tour to North Seymour Island aboard a yacht. The island is a bird sanctuary where you can see swallow-tailed gulls, blue-footed boobies’ nests, and the largest colony of frigatebirds – males can be distinguished by their red chests. Along the way you will see terrestrial iguanas and sea lions.

- 1:00pm: lunch on the yacht.
- 2:00pm: in the afternoon, you will visit a beach called Las Bachas, where you can snorkel and see flamingos.
- 3:30pm: return to Santa Cruz.

Day 4: Isabela Island and a visit to Los Túneles.

- 6:00am: breakfast.
- 7:00am: a two-hour boat trip to Isabela Island.
A member of out staff will be waiting for you with a sign on the pier of Isabela Island to transfer you to the hotel.
- 11:00am: a member of the crew will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the boat for your tour to Los Túneles.

El Finado

The trip begins on the pier of Puerto Villamil. The first stop is El Finado, where you will practice snorkeling.
There, you can swim with sea turtles, blacktip reef sharks, colorful fish and, if you get lucky, you will be able to see seahorses.
When you finish snorkeling, the crew on the boat will be waiting for you with some snacks for a short rest and then continue to Los Túneles.

Los Túneles

In Los Túneles, you will snorkel again. There, you will get a chance see sea lions playing in the calm waters of this beautiful place.
After the snorkeling activity, the boat staff will be waiting for you with a delicious lunch. Then, the guide you take you to a brief hike over the lava rocks that form the tunnels.
Apart from admiring the beautiful landscape, there are several blue-footed boobies that rest on these rocks.

- 3:00pm: return to Puerto Villamil.

Hike to the Sierra Negra Volcano.

Day 5: Sierra Negra volcano.

- 6:30am: breakfast.
- 7:00am: an 8 km hike to reach the Sierra Negra Volcano accompanied by a guide; it is considered one of the best hikes in South America.
- 1:00pm: lunch.
- 3:00pm: return to Santa Cruz Island.

Day 6: Santa Fe or Pinzón Island

- 7:00am: breakfast.
- 8:00am: Trip to Santa Fe Island on board of a yacht, this is one of the favourite places to swim, play and snorkel with sea lions and turtles,sharks, rays and tropical fish. In the afternoon you will visit the Escondida Beach located on Santa Cruz Island, this beach has white sand, beautiful landscapes and you will be able to do some fishing.

Day 7: Transfer out and visit to “Los Gemelos”

- 8:00am: breakfast.
Transfer to Baltra Airport, but first you will stop at the pit craters called Los Gemelos. There, you can see a scalesia forest, filled with animal species endemic to Galapagos, such as the finch.
